Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This page explains what information eddiegear.com ("this site") collects, how it's used, and the choices available. This site is a personal portfolio and does not run a business that sells products or services directly through it.
1. Information this site collects
This site is a static website. It does not have user accounts, does not run a database, and does not embed any analytics or advertising trackers at this time. Specifically:
- Contact: If you email the address listed in the Contact section, whatever you choose to include in that email (name, email address, message content) is received directly by that inbox — this site itself does not store or process it.
- Fonts: This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font from Google's servers means your browser makes a request to Google, which may log standard technical data such as your IP address, as with any third-party resource on the web. See Google's own privacy documentation for details on how they handle that data.
- Server logs: Like virtually all web hosts, the hosting provider (Hostinger) may keep standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operational purposes. This site's owner does not separately access or analyze these logs for tracking purposes.
2. Cookies
This site does not set its own cookies. If analytics, newsletter tools, or other third-party services are added in the future, this policy will be updated to disclose them before they go live.
3. How information is used
Any information you voluntarily send by email is used solely to respond to you and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party links
This site links to third-party services (for example, LinkedIn, book retailers, or other external tools). Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them. Review their policies independently.
5. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data you've sent by email. Since this site doesn't maintain a database of visitor data, the simplest way to exercise any such right is to contact the email address on this site directly.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site changes — for example, if analytics or a newsletter tool is added. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
8. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@eddiegear.com.
This is a general-purpose privacy policy template appropriate for a static personal portfolio site with no data collection backend. It is not a substitute for legal advice — if this site later adds analytics, a newsletter, e-commerce, or handles EU/UK/California visitors at scale, have this reviewed by a qualified professional to confirm GDPR/CCPA/DPDP compliance for your specific situation.
