Everyone wants to make money, be it from Google AdSense, Affiliate Marketing Success Techniques, or Direct Sales.

I prefer Affiliate Marketing Success over all other monetization methods for blog. While there are millions out there who are making $100,000 from AdSense and advertisements. I prefer to mix things a little bit.

I do use AdSense, but minimal.

With experience in presales and marketing, I have thorough knowledge of what customers look for in a product.

This makes selling and marketing my blog easy.

I know I called it Affiliate Marketing, but its more like Affiliate Sales.

Don’t let the term confuse what you should be doing as an affiliate marketer.

One of the biggest mistakes we all make as affiliates is to market another person’s product.

Let’s get to real life examples for a moment. When you go closes shopping, you find retailers selling ton’s of branded products, that they don’t own.

Have you ever wondered, that they sell and not market, while their advertisements and marketing material might contain the affiliate product.

Back to the affiliates online.

In the digital world, we don’t really have to own the product.

We simply have convince the leads we generate that the product is good for their business requirements.

This you can achieve only if you truly understand your readers and customers.

While I mention, Stop Marketing, this only pertains to affiliate products and not your blog.

You still need to focus on marketing your blog to get new readers and clients.

Blogging And Promotional Materials

When you are promoting affiliate products, all you need to keep in mind, is to help your blog readers and customers understand that the product will solve their business problem.

Tweak your blogging and the promotional material that you have prepared. Its all about how well your able to sell to your leads.

Not about marketing and making the affiliate famous.

So stop marketing their products and start selling.

Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is a great way to get customers, visitors and leads.

Use them simply for this purpose.

In a recent research that I’ve done in affiliate marketing, it was found that marketers promote affiliated products on social networks.

While these work, they don’t really get the job done. Nor do they make you an expert at affiliate marketing.

Take a look at the top affiliate marketers, you would have never seen them or heard about them. If you have been part of affiliate programs where the top selling affiliates would get massive commissions.

You will notice that none of your known affiliates are on the list.

Wonder why?

Cause they don’t market other companies or product, but simply sell.

Sales Pitches

Create landing pages that have the perfect sales pitch to match your customer requirements.

Help your customers fall in love with products like never before.

Create high converting landing pages, if your not a very technical person, try out Premise, it makes it easy to create landing pages. As simple as A, B, C.


Create compelling proposals that you can send out as emails as part of your email marketing campaigns.

Let your customers know how they can benefit from the products and how they can solve their problem.

Ask your readers what they need to do better business and improve overall revenue.

Nurture Leads

The process of nurturing leads is quite hard in the digital world and email marketing does not make it any easy.

To be able to tempt, educate and lure customers into purchasing a product that they might or might not require can be hard.

However, if you’re a skillful sales person, this is easy.

Once you generate a lead and start to nurture it, you can request for a contact number and eventually pitch them over the phone or meet up in person to make a sale.

Optimize Your Communication

Optimizing your content to sell is very important. You might be doing a lot of free marketing for many companies and products.

Its time to change.

Converting your marketing material to sales material can be hard and time consuming.

But testing is a great way to try out different sales pitches and figure out the optimal content required to make the sale.

Work on your communication, both your blog and emails.

Even though we all use blogs as a medium for marketing, its time to change focus on blogs as selling tools.

Headline writing or writing post titles that are convincing and get readers to your blog is very important.

Blogging does not change, its still remains what you do. You market your business and sell affiliate products.

Optimizing simply increases traffic, conversions and sales your business brings in.

    Great post about how to sell affiliate products. This is the method that I used to use when I first got started. I did nothing but affiliate marketing and also did Adsense.

    You can make some great money promoting other people’s products. I still make some income from those niche sites that I have.

    Nowadays, I’m more focused on creating my own products. It’s still going to require a lot of work getting traffic to the site and selling the product itself.
